What is Altcoin ?
Altcoin stands for Alternative Coin. When Bitcoin, the world's first cryptocurrency, was launched in 2009, other digital currencies began to emerge rapidly.
New cryptocurrencies were recognized under the term "altcoins". So altcoin means any cryptocurrency that is considered an "alternative to Bitcoin".
Altcoins were basically created using Bitcoin's core programming and with some changes to the coding.
