What is DLT (Distributed Ledger Technology) in Blockchains ?

It’s the technology that powers Blockchains. Though it was first outlined in 1991 by Staurt Haber and W Scott Stornetta, it was first conceptualized by a person or group of people known as Satoshi Nakamoto in 2008. It allows for storage of all information in a secure and accurate manner using cryptography in a decentralized database.

Once the information is stored it becomes immutable database. It is anticipated that 10% of world’s GDP will be processed through DLT by the year 2027.
